Buddha Paintings

Buddha Painting by Renee Keith ~ 30x40 acrylic on canvasAfter traveling, I usually have a huge urge to create a painting… it was a trip to Seattle to visit my brother that inspired me to paint a Buddha face! Originally, I wanted to create extreme texture and add gold leaf… but sometimes paintings turn out the way they want to be. This one seems to be better as a simple, smooth stone look. Maybe I will do a series of Buddha faces.

UPDATE: This first one here on the left started to look like a roman cupid buddha to me, bahahaha.. so I gave it a sex change, face lift, hairdo, and piercings… looks much better now!

Several of these are inspired by images found on the internet.
